Today was a long day that began in Towanda, Illinois and ended in Lexington, Illinois. Towanda was a friendly town with tiny streets and quaint houses. Lexington had a feel of rich history with large homes surrounded by huge trees. Houses with carriage houses and widow's walks lined long wide streets. We took a walk today just admiring homes that were magnificent. Among today's fun was a drive down a portion of old Route 66. What a day! Heat index was out of this world and tomorrow will be no different as we head to Gridley, Illinois for presentations on severe weather safety, stormchasing, business continuity and the New Madrid threat.Monday, June 22, 2009
